I always get inspired when I meet couples that live in the goodness of life. Meeting Richie and Marina in Cape Town a few years ago I very quickly became aware of their zest for travel, love for humanity and passion for each other. Having traveled through South America, Africa and India, they had so many wonderful and interesting stories to tell. Coupled with that, they had recently had a new addition to the family – little Ruby Olivia who had brought such joy to them.
Traveling to Australia to photograph their wedding was such exciting privilege – it was Nick and I’s first time to Aus and we set off from Sydney on a road trip to the breath-taking Byron’s Bay (travel post coming soon!), where Richie & Marina’s wedding was set. The ceremony was held at the picturesque and beautiful Byron’s View Farm – which lives up to its name with a stunning view from the top of a hill of Byron’s Bay. Nick also made an appearance in the ceremony where he performed a song he had especially written for Richie & Marina (more on that soon!). We then went on to Harvest Café in the town centre and friends and family joined in the merry celebrations and the whole day was full of joy and laughter.
Richie, Marina and Ruby – words cannot convey our appreciation for letting us be apart of your day! You made us feel so welcome and it was an absolute pleasure to be there to capture your day for you! Thank you!
